See the wind
See The Wind
It is early morning, and the park is all hers.
The breeze blows gently for the little girl who twirls within it.
Her hair is dark, her dress is green, her sneakers have stickers all over them.
Her kite is red and blue.
And she twirls.
And her kite above follows her.
Under a nearby tree her parents sit drinking coffee.
Mom glances up while looking at her phone, Dad closes the morning paper, together they watch their daughter twirl.
And her kite twirls with her.
Her name is Ashley.
In the mist of the morning there twirls a little blind girl within the breeze.
And she is flying a kite.
And she giggles.
And she twirls.
Because her kite let’s her see the wind.
It is early morning, and the park is all hers.
The breeze blows gently for the little girl who sees the wind.
